Tang sight enroute!
« on: April 03, 2010, 07:14:05 PM »
Just got notice that the Marbel's tang sight I ordered for my M92 is enroute!  I'm a happy boy!   ;D  That rifle shot so well with iron sights, I can't wait to see what it does with sights I can see!   :o

What are you going to use for the front?

Well Dang! :D  You got a real tang?   When can I come over to play?

Good on ya.  Hope it shoots like you want it to.

I hope ya have either a folder or a filler blank, to replace the rear barrel sight for a clean sight picture.

FWIW, I usually set up my tang sighted rifles with a folding rear barrel sight so I can have two zeroes (short/long).

I've got 2 others with tang sights and one with a receiver sight that I just put blanks in the rear dove tail.  Not a bad idea though...  :-\  Seems to me I got a folding rear sight around here somewheres...  ;D

I have the Marble's Tang on my .44/40 Rossi along with the factory front sight.  The first time I shot this combo, it fired a five shot one hole group dead center at 50yds, and continues to do so every time I do my part.  A great sight on a great rifle.

a five shot one hole group dead center at 50yds,

How cool is that!   :o  This is my first Rossi M92 and I tell you, it shoots way better then my Winchester, Savage and Marlin leverguns!  And, maybe even better then my M73!  I hope it's waiting for me when I get home!   ;D

I installed a Marbles Tang sight and gold bead front on my .44 Mag M92 a few months ago. The weather is finally getting warm enough to spend more time at the range, so I will be able to finally get it dialed in with a few different loads. My other M92 .44Mag wears a Marbles gold bead front, and a Marbles Bullseye Rear.
