Easter egg hunt report
« on: April 04, 2010, 06:33:51 PM »
My family had a great day worshiping the Lord and enjoying his blessings.
I always have the most fun watching the little ones hunt eggs.
We still do the real eggs and have the grand children over on Saturday night to color them.
The hunt was big fun , but any time this family gets together there is almost always gun fire.
All the eggs that got mangled became targets. ;D
So there we are at the range at my sons house with the kids shooting pop cans and mangled Easter eggs.
Yeah I know that's way redneck, but God loves rednecks that's why he made so many of us.
Besides I've never seen a better looking shooting line in my life everyone in their Easter Sunday best, armed and having a blessed time.
Hope y'all had a blessed Easter also.

YES, we too had a great Easter service, we always look forward to communion. The kids had a blast looking for eggs after church, and we enjoyed watching them. POWDERMAN.  ;D ;D

Well your day sounds a bit like ours.  We didn't have a 'normal' easter either. ;-)  We spent ours riding the kiddos around on the four wheelers and spending time with family.  When you get the Fields family (Mrs. Graybeard's side) together there are about fifteen kids!  We ate some amazing food, hid some eggs, and then came home and took a nice long nap.  Our littlest one decided to eat melted chocolate on the way home and was covered head to toe.  It is moments like that, that make all of our holidays a day to remember!

SPEAKING OF.......The wife had an easter egg hunt for the lil ones and the adult kids(their parents). They all flew kites chased around three acres looking for eggs and tackling one another when they could! The big uns got gift certificates and such they were more excited than the lil uns!  A good time was had by all!

HEATHER. Sounds like great fun. I hope you took pics of chocolate face, they are good for blackmail in the future. When we had mishaps like that I always say, go give mommy or grandma a big hug and kiss.
A few years ago we had an egg hunt at my sisters in ILL, it was pretty cool and drizzling a bit. The kids didn't even find maybe half of the eggs. I asked if anybody found one with a gold dollar in it?? Man, they really scattered, found em all. I never said that there was one, just asked if anybody found one. POWDERMAN.  ;D ;D

It was amazing to me the church recruitment that was going on this weekend. A local church tried to convince me to switch over to get in on their 6k egg hunt. Yup, I went. Free hot dogs and burgers too. Nice spread. Unfortunately the eggs were all plastic and filled with chocolate, not the real thing. Think I'll let them pitch me next year too.

We had a church around here drop plastic eggs out of a helicopter over a football field.  Seems like a bunch of hoopla to distract from the true meaning of the day.  Oh well to each his own.

Seems like the eggs would break open even dropped in the grass. POWDERMAN.  :o :o
