When I was in NC last week I visited 2 Dick's Sporting Goods stores. They had some Model 700s that I really liked. They were like the SPS but they had laminated stoks like the B&C with the new R3 recoil pad. They were also scoped with a nice clear scope that I believe was a 3-9X40. I saw them in .30-06, .270, amd I believe 7mmRM. For $619.00 they seemed like an awesome setup. I know most people would consider the scope junk but I have one that I use as a scope for guns I may not keep and it's held up very well and is very clear.
