Go2GBO Home Page has a new look

I gave the GBO CMS a face lift tonight. I like it personally but want input from the members. I am thinking of bringing this look to the forums so give tell me what you think...

Very cool! I'll bite - where is the picture taken? Looks like I should know, but I have found many different areas in this country that look very much alike.

Looks pretty good.  Did you use a pre-built CMS like Drupal/Joomla/etc or is it custom?

The GBO CMS is Drupal and I used a program called Artisteer to theme it but I will have to create the theme for SMF from scratch as there is not a program to automate it. There is a theme generator for SMF but it is not what is needed to match the CMS and Forums.

As a side note I am taking GBO in a different direction than what we have been on. I am looking to bring back the GBO eZine which for those that remember was an online magazine. The project had lots of problems before and of which all the blame is mine. I was looking to create a distributable product and not just an online magazine. This time we will be using Drupal and the many modules for it to create it. So we are going to be looking for Writers, Photographers, Editors and more for this project so if you are interested let me know.

Also please keep in mind that the GBO CMS already allows all members to have their own blog and allows you to post Campfire Tales and Recipes.

I could take it or leave it...The Summary of any member is what I am after most (last active) (where one is from) (date registered) and it is readily avalible right now with the (view posts) being just a click away.

Perhaps this could be condensed into a sticky at the head of a members blog?
