Hey Caballeros--

It's me, Marlinshooter, back and registered with my SASS nick, Jesus Raza #54624 (you may recognize it from _The Professionals_, one of my all-time favorite movies).

Now on to my question--I've gotten lots of advice to buy a .44 magnum / special or a .45 Colt, since I want to try some limited (short range, easy shots) deer hunting with it.  Most of the answers mentioned Rossi clones as being a good thing, and I am leaning heavily toward a .45 Colt.  Trouble is, I have googled diligently, searched the columns, and tried the FAQs without any success at finding a home page for these rifles.  I found the Rossi home page ok, but all they sell is single-shot rifles!  Where do I find the Winnie 92 clones and what are the best ones?  Rossi / LSI/ EMF; Uberti???/ Marlin? Winnie itself?

Many thanks for some links to home pages for these manufacturers and any others I ought to be looking at.

Jesus Raza

Mi Amigo,

You have several options here. And the easiest one I can think of is over on that other board you visit. Check the home page and you will find links to home pages of EMF, etc. which will help you find wat yer lookin fer. Here's a link to EMF: http://www.emf-company.com/

Navy Arms: http://www.navyarms.com/

But here's perhaps the best source, bar none, fer a Rossi:

Steve's Guns aka "Rossi 92 Specialists"
4525 Alamosa st.
Port Arthur TX 77642
Tel: 409-984-5473
www.stevesgunz.com
Email steve@stevesgunz.com

That's Nate Kiowa Jones, SASS #6765, he's known far and wide as The Rossi Specialist! He sales Rossi guns and he werks on em! He can make a Rossi so slick that it'll danged neart shoot itself fer ya!

Another possibility is the SASS classifieds, I bought my .45 Rossi thataway and wasn't disappointed! I advise that you put up a post advising that yer wanting to buy one, but I warn folks to only do business with a poster that shows a SASS number in their Signature line....that's safest because SASS members want make their reputation remains good within the SASS community.

Oh yeah, Gun Shows!!! I cain't reccomemeber the last time I wuz at a gun show and didn't see some Rossi lever gunz in the racks!

Good luck in the hunt pard!
