Another Idaho old guy
« on: April 08, 2010, 03:05:22 PM »
Just thought I would introduce myself since I am new. Lived in the Nampa/Caldwell, Idaho area all my life.

I like to hunt, fish, shoot & fiddle around with guns.

I love Jesus Christ, my  wife & my kids in that order.

I like to play guitar & sing.

I lost everything afew years back & had to sell all my guns to keep the wolf away from the door. Things are looking better now so I am in the process of buying them back!! ;D

The gun world is a little different than it was 10 years ago so I have been researching things pretty heavy and catching up. This looks like a good place to do just that.

Guns so far: 1995 Ruger 10-22 International stainless, burch, checkered;  New Ruger 10-22 Carbine, blue synthetic; 1976 Ruger Mark I pre-warning, bicentennial.

Now that I am all .22ed up I am looking & deciding on what is next!
Romans 3:23  "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Romans 6:23a  "...The wages of sin is death..."
Romans 6:23b  "...But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 5:8,  "God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us!"
Romans 10:13  "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord  will be saved!"
Romans 10:9"...If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved.."

Welcome from North Idaho - Sandpoint - I have a niece in Nampa and my pals daughter lives in Caldwell or Wilder or somewhere there along the Snake River sort of West of Nampa.  ;)

I'd say you had the 22's about covered - good choices. I joined the Marlin Owners website a short time ago and have gotten a real education in Marlins. Was raised on bolt guns with a great fascination for lever guns. I've inherited and bought a few Winchesters and a Marlin 41mag rifle over the years. This year I bought my first 30-30. Can't believe I've waited so long. Am having a blast with it. I've been out of work since the first week in December so have plenty of time to read, research, and develop loads for whatever purpose.

WELCOME ABOARD!
Regards,
Sweetwater
