Any Turkeys yet.
« on: April 09, 2010, 02:30:02 AM »
I went opening day with the wind blowing 30 mph. The birds were answering all over but would not come to a call at all early. At 8:45 it was like a switch came on and two different bunches were racing to the decoys. At 8:50 my oldest son dropped a huge young bird with 1 1/8" spurs and a nine inch beard.
Deer hunting is mostly fun then you shoot one and it turns to work.

I was talking to a couple of the kids in my class.
They said they called them out of the roost but they just sat down and wouldn't move any after that.
Shoud have an update come Monday. Gonna be pretty out this weekend.

I live in NE kansas and the season is not open, but I go out often and film them.  The last week they have gotten red heads and are coming into my set.
