the earthy muted browns and greens are OK, but that bright lime green on the top and by the ads actually hurts my eyes, makes me squint and gives me a headache!!! Please get rid of that!!!....<><....:)

Well I have tried to look at it for a while now and OUCH!!!, can it be toned down a bit? It seems uncomfortable and confusing, quite "busy" with all the bothersome and eye straining colors...

Oh yeah it's different all right. I agree the color scheme ain't there yet. The background light green is not nice on old eyes and I use a far more narrow view than you guys so likely am seeing a lot less of it than most. Something closer to the darker green about half way down the new mountain image on the borders is much easier on my eyes. That black at top does nothing for me and for sure once it fades past the darker green tone to the lighter lime look, well that's tough on old eyes or at least mine.

sorry guys I am in the middle of working on the theme but my system went down from a fake AV attack... I am up in Win7 and things look a bit different than in IE8 and Opera.  Sig lines are messed up on long ones.  as soon as my system finishes the scan I will reboot back to XP and fix everything... I am still working on the background colors too

When there is more than one page in the thread, the non-highlighted page number is white and is almost invisible.

Green is always a questionable color, especially when men have the most cases of red-green color blindness.  The black print does not stand out from the green or brown background anywhere near as much as it does against a white background.

The light brown Quote background it OK; try e8ffe0 for the green post background.  The brown seems to be b8aa7e; try d0c296 instead.

Took me by surprise at 4:10 this morning! Didn't see the previous colors but sure like it now.

Any chance when checking unread posts or any forum with multiple pages, the numbers for the pages could be a little larger? Might make it a little easier to "hit" with the mouse pointer.

I am getting older and get set in my ways. When ever a site changes things, I do not like it, but it eventually grows on me. I did not see earlier colors, and these are not too offensive, so I guess I will get used to it. ;) I read some where that a dark blue background and yellow lettering was supposed to be the easiest on the eyes, but I don't know about that. BTW This 'puter is running Win 7, Firefox on a 22" wide screen flat panel. I will have to see how it looks on my computer running XP with a 19" flat panel. The colors are not as bright there.

Dunno where you read that but it clearly is NOT true for all. I cannot even see the yellow text at all in such a combination. Any yellow text pretty much regardless of background color just fades to nothing for me. Ya might as well use invisible ink,
