  It dies spice the place up, BUT, it's a LOT harder to read here...  Maybe it's because my eyes are no longer young, but it's VERY difficult to read with these colors...   :'(

Matt - you need to change the size of the photo/image on your banner - to get rid of the deer's butt on the right-hand side.  Not that I have anything against deer butt - but it does not quite fit right.

I think the whole scheme works.  As far as the deer's butt, I'm usually down in the posts and not gazing at the header.  I like it as I see it now.

Would be nice if the banner (which looks great, btw) were smaller, especially for those of us with 16:9 monitors, but I think the colors are an improvement.

If some of you have issues with reading small text, a quick way to change it is to hold down [Ctrl] and scroll your mouse wheel (if you have one, if you don't, use the +/- keys).  This will magnify/reduce the page in your browser (not as good of a fix as having the default text size changed, but you don't always have direct access to the site admin, and this will work everywhere).

Sorry, but the dark green is :P  Hard to read the red text on the dark green field in the FAQ area.  Light green/tan backgrounds are fine.

Using it a little more, I think the red text for viewed threads is a little hard to read.  Perhaps just using bold for unread and unbold for read threads would work better.

That was part of my plan but I would have to re-write to much of the template at this point and dont really want to... I will be tweaking things for a while until we get it to a point that most everyone likes or can live with...

Go to your profile and in the Look and Layout section tell it to auto detect your local time and it will correct the time offset... had to set mine to -11 hours for CST time... something about the software upgrade and theme change that has caused it to get out of wack

the more I have to look at it the less and less I like it. Whats up with the irritating red color of the threads (the one's you have visited perhaps?) Boy, is THAT red bothersome....sorry guys, I don't like it, some of the colors are just plain irritating and bother the eyes. Does the individual member have the ability to either change or turn off or change some of the colors that bother us at our end?....<><....:(

Andy, If you're using Internet Explorer you can use your the browser colors by following the steps below, but you may not like it, it does away with all formatting, you can skip the 2 undlerlined options, but it doesn't help much.

If you want to have the fonts and colors you specify in Internet Explorer to be used for all websites, regardless of the fonts that have been set by the website designer, follow these steps.
1.   In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
2.   On the General tab, click Accessibility.
3.   Select the Ignore colors specified on webpages, Ignore font styles specified on webpages, and Ignore font sizes specified on webpages check boxes, and then click OK twice.

Thanks for the tip Tim. I used the Ignore font sizes specified on webpages and now the fonts are a lot easier for me to read. Must be these dang diabeetees eyes, but the color change, especially the green, made it really hard for me to read.

Sure is colorful, reminds me of the new 55" TV I got last weekend. WOW!

Kinda like if your wife shaves her   head it might take a little time to get used to it but you may learn to like it ;)

I just played with the different combinations of those settings, Andy may be able to find something that works better for him.  ;)

I too thought the red viewed threads were a bit much, but I'm getting used to it, it's just an old guy thing, we don't adjust to changes as easily.  :D

Im with Andy I dont like it .Too bright for me. & Im not as old as the rest of ya :P :P. But Im a guest here. I ll get used to it, Matt I appreciate all the work you do for us.

Liked it before with the frames and the namers and page numbers..You can't hardly read it now..I'm running a HPw2207 monitor and Opera 10.51 Vista Pro..The dull look doesn't cut it for me..
