Weaver 2.5x8 handgun scope??

Well I just pulled the trigger on a new Weaver 2.5x8 for my 15" 7mm08. I have read alot of good reviews for it, we'll see. Have any of you guys had any expierences with these scopes?

I have two handgun scopes in that magnification and find them ideal for use while deer hunting from blinds and shooting from sandbags.  I tend to use all my scopes at either end of the magnification ranges and rarely anywhere in the middle.  Mine are on Contender 7-30 barrels.
