Its bait repairing time.

I just sent off my Stamina order for a few hundred trebles and some split rings as well as some other useful supplies.

How many of you go through your crankbaits and topwaters this time of year and get them ready for the next season.  New hooks, new split rings, whatever's needed?

Skipper,

I hate to say it but I've put the fishing gear away and am now focusing on the first day of the deer season.  I suspect that I won't do much with fishing equipment until March.

Blessings!

I sort of missed deer season.  The first weekend I had a tournament and last weekend it poured for 2 straight days.   8)   Now if those hooks will just get here, I'll get the crank baits fixed up, then its on to the reels and rods.

I too am putting it off until after the hunting seasons.  Something to do during those cold January evenings while sitting beside the fire.  Lawdog

Hopefully, we'll be on Okechobee in January.  I have to get started early to get set for that trip, then turn around and get everything up to snuff.  We start fishing here the middle of February, First tournament's usually the 2nd weekend in March, Rain Shine Snow whatever.

Skipper/guys; I'm doing both deer hunting and inbetween still fishing its cold but I'm fishing.  I just got back from opening hunting season in Vermont we had 5" of snow and 15 degrees so fishing back in CT. its 35 degrees its warm!!! I'm not going to change any trebles but I'm sure going to sharpen everything!!!!  I did lose fish by not having the stuff sharp.   Of course if I find any bad hooks i'll replace them.   I don't have any rusted stuff.   The only thing I'm sure of is too look for sales after christmas on PLASTICS!!!!!!!!                                BigBill

I like using the eagle claw weedless hooks and Mr twister kahle hooks too they are my favorites.
