s&w 500 lever by Big Horn Armory

Has anyone heard about this 500 lever gun. It's big $$$$ but sounds like they made it strong.
Is a rate of twist of 1 in 24 enough to stableize a heavy bullet.

There have been a number of discussions of the Big Horn on this and other forums.  A the SHOT show, it is said there were only two handmade prototypes on display.  At this point I have seen no published reviews.  It appears that it may be something on the order of halfway between a '92 and an '86 in size.  Latest word is that delivery is still several months away.

Its kind of had a slow down. theyve found that there is just so many hand fit parts in the design that it raises the cost and slows production. Kind of the reason winchester quit making guns like that themselves. I have no doubt if one hits the street it will be a quality piece though.
