I'm sure there are well stocked bomb shelters all over Israel. I remember during the 1st gulf war when saddam was hitting them daily with rockets the media showing the gas masks and shelters under many, if not all of the homes there. School children carrying gas masks as just a normal days occurence. POWDERMAN.

Certainly, Israel has good reason to prepare with bomb shelters and much more, but now with the latest revelation of Syria providing Hamas with longer range (over 400 miles) Skud rockets, they had better get ready to use those shelters.

I can imagine a scenario that might play out something like this: Israel finally tires of waiting for the U.S. and the Obamanation to disuade Iran from their nuclear ambitions and now knowing that Obama has pretty much made it known that we will not have their back, Israel feels they must do it on their own. Iran tells Hamas to use their newly acquired rockets to strike Israel to take Israel's attention off of them (Iran). In desperation, Israel takes out Obama and makes it look like it was the work of al Qaeda. This, in hopes that maybe they can persuade Joe Biden to back them in taking out Iran.

This might sound far fetched and crazy, but think about it; Israel has to be getting a little desperate and time is running out. They have to believe that when Iran does get a nuke, they will have no problem handing it off to Hamas to use on one of their Skuds. Israel can probably go it on their own, but if I were them, I would want some backing. They can't help but feel betrayed by Obama, so there you go.

Hardly realistic in my opinion since al qadea is merely an arm of the CIA who at least in theory works for obama. Of course that didn't stop them from taking out Kennedy just cuz they worked for him.

The last thing in the world we want or need in this country is Obama to get took out! Look waht happend when Kennedy got killed! The congress passed all of his social legusation, that he could not get passed. Read the civel rights bills. That was the begining of the end of this country.
With the great socity, the democrats put most minoritys on the goverment dole! They will vote democratic from now on. I don't think this country has a prayer! If Obama got knocked off, we would become a communist nation over night.

Well, there's a lot of reporting both legit and sketchy that indicates a build up towards action against Iran. The shelter, evacuating the Sinai, ship positions, bomber build up. If half of it is true, then something may be coming. If none of it is true, but Iran believes it, then something will be coming. So its probably good folks know where the shelter is in Tel Aviv.

Hey, the last thing I would want to see is Osama rubbed out. Jeeze, that made a hero out of JFK and MLK and I don't believe either of them were heroic figures. My point was that from an Israeli perspective, they are out there by themselves with Osama at the helm of their most important and maybe their only ally. What choices do they really have?

I hear ya bearmgc..... It was reported Thursday that Syria has shipped the long range Scud Missles to both Hezbullah and Hamas. One source said the missles were old and un-usable. Whether that statement is true or not, it is a tell-tail sign of familiarity preparation for a near future planned mission.
In any case Israel isn't taking any chances.

During that shipment, Israel supposedly scrubbed an air assault to stop it, but let Syria know they would not let that continue, and would strike Syrian and Lebannese targets. If all of that is so....... It's like reading a prelude to the books of Amos and Zechariah..
