I like them both equally well...They both have worked for me..even loading them to the levels I normally do

My first Handi(45-70) was a ejector and I still prefer them. The reason is simple I am a old fart and like the old system       Doug

For me on the Non rimmed cases the ejectors would miss and the case would get stuck.
the extractors dont seem to be a problem.

I prefer the ejectors when they work, due to the cold climate up here it really stinks trying to get the smaller cases out with gloves on.
but it really is no biggie either way.
that and if your spotter gives you crap when you miss you can always pop im with a spent case going the speed of light!

Very old topic that's been discussed 6 billion times, do a search on it, you'll get way more information on it than in another thread. Extractors always work, I've never had a stuck case with one, and I have had stuck cases with ejectors even with rimmed chamberings. Get used them, that's the only way H&R centerfire rifles are made, has been since about 2007. You seldom here of Contender/Encore owners complaining about extractors, that's all they have, just be glad H&R shotgun and rimfires are still ejectors.

I like ejectors on my shotgun, not so much on my Rifle. Being a TC & Ruger #3 carbine shooter & reloader for 30 years, I like to pluck- em an shuck-em out my self. I spend lots of time on preping my reloadable cases. I do not like to see them launched in space to the Dark-Hole of no return.

I like ejectors, when hunting especialy with gloves I want the brass to fly out to reload as quick as I can. I save brass at the bench but don't search to much in the woods.

Got 'em both and don't really have a preference.  However, if I'm after dangerous game, I probably won't be carrying a Handi.

I like the extractor due to the cases come out of the gun in to my hand and to my pocket or shell belt for reloading. That being said I only have one Handi extractor and have never touched it off, but I have two Handi ejector models both rimmed. The 30-30 sticks hot loads. The 22 Hornet has never stuck a case since I have been shooting it. My Rossi 223 has the extractor and that is where my experience comes from. In the river swamp in knee deep water it is kinda hard to find ejected shells and I like to reload the brass I ALREADY HAVE instead of having to buy more.

I like ejectors on my shotguns and .22 rimfire and prefer extractors on rifles because I reload.
