STI Texican
« on: April 15, 2010, 02:12:10 PM »
Anybody got one?  I've never even seen one.  From all I've read, it's supposed to be the best.  Tighter tolerances than Ruger.

I'm surprised!  I'd have thought that Lloyd would have one.  He loves STI products, and I hear it's a good one.  44 Man

I would love one, but don't have the coin right now for it. I wish USFA would publish their tolerances like STI does for the Texican, then my decision might be easier when I do have the coin. I still think USFA has better bluing, but I'm more interested in performance with some beauty.

I would like to know more about both of these single actions, as I've got the itch and am saving my pennies for one or the other.

It would be great if someone would publish (Graybeard?) a side by side test of these two guns.  And throw in a Colt just to make it interesting.  They are all over the $1000 mark so the test would have validity.  44 Man

Mike, from everything I've heard the STI is made very nice and tight, will be interesting if someone has one to tell us about.  I've been looking at these and reading about them for sometime now.
