Savage 99 accuracy
«

I'm looking at options for a light 250 Savage. I'm wondering if anybody shoots a 99 in 250 savage and if so about the accuracy.
Thanks.

I have an old 99 in 250...It is not super accurate for chucks or varmits, but accurate enough for deer etc...given the power of the caliber and the animals you would hunt with it....

Back when I had my takedown model, it would regularly shoot into 1 1/2" - 2" @ 100yds with the peep sight it had on it.

I had a savage 99 years ago and never found it a super accurate rifle. If, you want accuracy there are far better rifles out there.
