25 WSSM Inaccuracy?
« on: April 16, 2010, 02:00:16 PM »
G,day from Down Under.

Recently I purchased a new Browning Stainless Stalker in 25 WSSM. I have to say that it is very inaccurate, bet group 3 inches at 100 meters , and I do not know why. This is with factory 120 grain or 85 bullets. I have purchased a crown cutter from Brownells and done that, but no difference. Is this just a hopelessly inaccurate cartridge do you think? Is this why they stopped making it? Any advice would be appreciated.

cheers

Never shot the cartridge.  Never heard about an accuracy problem either.  I would expect the exact opposite.  Would have guessed that it would be a tack driver.

Any sign of a mechanical problem?  Do you trust the scope and mounts?
