Ferrero candy booth
« on: April 17, 2010, 12:25:52 PM »
I've been working on a new booth for the candy show next month and wanted to show a few pics of some stuff I built.

First the double deck.

Some double sided, curved panels under the deck.

Straight panels unser the deck.

And a curved display back and front.

And last but not least a display cabinet.

I started on some conical shaped cabinets on Friday and will post some pics next week.

Chicago, McCormick place. It's a pretty big trade show for the confectioner industry.

Of course it all has to be laminated yet so hopefully I'll get pics of the finished product.

Started on the conical displays today.

Built the frames.

Started skinning them with 1/8" bending birch.

Jobs like this really make it a pleasure to go to work. I love doing this kind of stuff.

More pics to follow as the job progresses.

Okay here's some pics I took at the show.
Here's the curved display.

The whole back of the booth.

The conical displays. The fabric rings on top are actually mounted to a motor that turns them.

A close up.

Small display cabs. The coffee bar I didn't have anything to do with. Our new foreman built all of that. The client came inand did nothing but pick his work apart. It was really bad.

The front of the booth.

I hope you guys enjoy the before and after pics. Sorry if I come across as bragging too much but I do this for a living because I'm proud of what I can make out of a stack of plywood. I guess most woodworkers are the same way.

Only an artist can take a pile of materials and turn it into something beautiful.  Congradulations.
