Now I am that much more impressed at what you have accomplished with your barrels.

And I am pretty sure I will not be going thru your process.

Gary stopped by yesterday and bored out his newest bronze mortar on our Bridgeport mill.  I took a couple pics.  Here they are:

Tracy and Mike

Smokin' my pipe on the mountings, sniffin' the mornin'-cool,
I walks in my old brown gaiters along o' my old brown mule,
With seventy gunners be'ind me, an' never a beggar forgets
It's only the pick of the Army that handles the dear little pets - 'Tss! 'Tss!

Thanks for posting those Tracy .

It was quite a setup ! It took 5.5 hours of machine time x 2 as mike and I were both needed to do it . Hopefully the machine time can be reduced and I think it can these first ones always require a bunch of trial and error .

I can not wait to shoot my very own GB mortar . Gotta make a sled now .

We are working some #'s for some poroduction and costs . The Howie will be next .

Now I an polishing my rear end off ! gotta make smoother waxes .

Gary eta the chamber hold 50 grains

A yank with excellent taste...........Kabar don't allow the Montana Mafia to poison your mind against obviously beautifull Ordnance. Scandinavians maybe Grumpy , awkward , arrogant people  :P   but they sure knew how to produce fine pieces. Artsy Fartsy........sure   but I bet these pieces shot well.

No worries there I know what I like, there are some very fine European guns that can be classed as high art, the link Dan provided
has some nice mortars and cannon it seems though they kept an awful lot of choehorns there are a lot of the same on the one page,
it would be nice if they surplused a few of the extras..... I can think of a good home for one

Yes , it is supposed to be a show and tell . Unfortunatly my cammera gave up the ghost  :'(  .

I shinned up the mortar abit and am starring at some wood tonight and pondering how to make a bed for it .

The howie is still in the raw .
