Great day at the range.

Had a great day at the shooting range.  The brass buckets were full & I picked out 61 45/70, 47 444,  & 17 little bitty 38/55 once fired cases.  ;D   Oh by the way I almost forgot.  My .375 JDJ is shooting 3 shot groups in 3/4" @ 100 yds with Hornady 220 grain flat points & IMR 4895 st around 2350 fps.

That's great, good shooting!  There's a ton of brass at my range, 223/5.56 brass by the thousands laying all over the ground down range where LEOs train, but they don't allow anyone to pick it up.  ::)

What a great day brass picking!!! No one at my club throws away brass like that....<><....:)

There's a reason for that,,the stuff is a $1.70 a pound scrap,,an icecream pail full is about $19! It add's up fast if they rake it after a rain and bring it in by the drum full. (higher price for over a hundered weight)

I bring in brass and buy lead,,lead is .75 for soft or wheel weights  ;)

That would be my guess, but it doesn't appear to have been picked up in the last month, there are even some live rounds!  ::)

Maybe the range's brass magnet is malfunctioning. ::)

My younger brother is Navy , He told me and my father that they just sweep their 50 cal brass over the side of the boat . Talk about wasteful .
 I like to go to an out of the way public range with some regularity due to people leaving brass , but I'm not the only one that knows about that spot ;)
