Midway Contender barrels...bull or tapered?
« on: April 24, 2010, 07:01:05 AM »
There are a LOT of Contender [and Encore] barrels in the MIDWAY catalogue. A few [.375 and .38-55] are noted "heavy". This leads me to believe the "heavy" barrels are cylindrical[bull barrel] and the others have taper to them?
Anyone know?

Since being born in a log cabin that I built with my own hands, it has been an uphill struggle all the way.  Being so devastatingly handsome, intelligent,  rich-beyond-belief, and humble have all worked together to shape me and my destinies.

Contender barrels come in tapered or straight bull (no taper) from the factory.  Encore barrels come in straight bull, heavy (slight taper starting a bit after the chamber part of the barrel) and tapered.
