Rollerblades?

Not sure if this is where this needs to be but.........

My son is interested in playing hockey next year at school. He doesn't know how to skate and I said I'd get him a pair of rollerblades to try it out first.

Does anyone here have a suggestion as to which brand or feature is better. I'm going to go to a used sporting goods store. I don't want to drop $150.00 on skates for him to decide he doesn't like it.

So far I have heard :
Aluminum frame is better than composit
Rollerblade or k2 are the better brands to start with

 That's a good idea you got. Sorry, can't help ya. Last pair of rollerblades I bought was 15yrs ago. After nearly wiping out a family of 4 on a bridge, I put em' away.
