Wally world
« on: April 24, 2010, 07:30:25 PM »
Went into my local Wallyword the other day. To my surprise there sat two new Handi rifles complete with scopes. Dang never seen them stock any H&R'S other than shotguns. Now I just have to find a clerk who works in that area. this was in Goodyear, Arizona.  See miracles do happen! :D

Around here they always seem to have the 243 with a promo scope on it for sale. That is a popular gun in these parts. A boy I know has put a serious hurting on some deer and hogs with his youth version of that gun.

The 243 ,223  and the 270 are the most comman Handies to be in the  showcase at most of the Wally's around here...The 7-08 is talked about nice on this Board, as are  the 30-06,30-30 and 45-70...   I'm in  northeast WY and travel to western NE and SD  -- don't get Montana in my travels..
In the gun shops and pawn shops,,  a new 243 is the most command -- used handies are rare!                Dan

There nearest wally world to me that has guns is a 45 minute-1 hour drive depending on traffic. When I started my quest for my 30-30 I priced it at that wally world cause I happened to be there. I ended up getting one from my mom & pop amile or so up the road for $5 less than what wally could get it for me.

My wally world always has Handis in stock.

That's nice, none of the three WMs here even sell firearms anymore.  :-\

The 2 WMs here no longer sell guns. Don't think the one even sells ammo anymore. They sure do stock a lot of fishing junk though.

I call it Wal-Marx or the Evil Empire. I try to choose to not shop there, or many of the large chain stores. Sometimes you have to.The bitterness of poor service remain long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

in my home town i have found that a lil store out in the boonies ;D has better prices than wal/mart gander mt meijer  (anyone) on guns/bullets calls you name it. if it is not on the shelf they can often get it in 3 to 5 days. when i traded my colt 1911 in they gave my  $550.00 cash or trade.i love that lil store even has the best pizza at shocking low prices 18 inch 3 topping for $8.50   i think that that store should be franchized  and in every other state
