Don't mess with Texas...or it's governor
« on: April 28, 2010, 02:20:43 AM »
Gov Rick Perry out jogging with his daughter's new pup..confronted by an agressive coyote. Coyote charges...380 Ruger stops charge, permanently. Obviously this is one governor who believes what the 2nd amendment says.

Someone else has started a thread on this topic, and as I said on it also, it was on Fox News this morning, stating that the pistol was also lazer equiped. Yesterday morning in the coffee shop the big farmers in my home town were raising hell about getting Perry out of the Governor's seat cause he ain't helpin them enough. These are the same farmers that draw huge farm subsidys, and their WIVES also draw them, and they have pretty lavish life styles. Maybe I need to take a closer look at supporting him next election. We sent Kay Bailey packin this year.

Perry is not well thought of in West Texas, he didn't even carry his home county in the past election.  I flew with him a time or two while he was a pilot with the 463rd Airlift Wing at Dyess AFB, Tx, I never was a fan, but voted for him since he was the lessor of two evils. (He lost my respect by pushing for the Trans-Texas highway and then attempting to turn it over to Spain for management.)

Ya know rockbilly this lessor of two evils thing really doesn't wash very well. He spoke at Tea Party rallies, he's pro-second amendment, yet he wanted to nationalize a highway from Laredo all the way up. Folks are just gonna have to make up their minds that this lessor of two evils is not workin.

What you need to do is stop fretting about what I think or say. Your gonna get yourself all stirred up, and have a nervous breakdown, and then forget to apply for your "farm welfare" check. ;)

I can respect any politician that carries and does what needs to be done to protect his own.  One less coyote ain't a bad thing.

As to the TTC, he'd be a poor Governor indeed if he didn't try to bring every opportunity to make his state grow and improve it's infrastructure.  He hawked the deal and it didn't pass the people's muster.  Texas moved on and is doing OK.

I'd vote for him again.

And I have the privilege of voting against him. A better scenario was that the coyote had eaten ole Rick, and died of indigestion.  ;D
The TTC is much bigger than most realize. Had it been accomplished we would have later saw I-40 be nationalized into a TOLL ROAD. This would have effectively QUARTERED THE COUNTRY, allowing the government to effectively CONTROL AND MONITOR ALL INTERSTATE COMMERCE. It too was to be turned over to a foreign nation for control. Most do not know or realized that it also ANNEXED a vast amount of land on either side of this TTC, and the taxes collected would mostly go to the UNITED NATIONS, as they are as we speak attempt to GAIN A TAX BASE FOR SUPPORT. The trucking industry has been aware of this plan for more than a decade.
Rick Perry is a WOLF IN SHEEPISH CLOTHING, and a vote for him would be no better than one for he socialist counterpart, Kay Bailey Hutchins.

I believe that everyone in Texas is aware of this variety of facts.  Still, the corridor failed, and new laws have been passed against improper uses of eminent domain.

What one needs to be aware of is that the larger project has been broken up into smaller, easier-to-hide highway improvement and infrastructure projects.

It's still out there, but now the project leaders are pandering to the greed of smaller audiences, one community project at a time.

I would agree for the most part FWiedner, but Ricky will sign on with the good ole boys, and as far as new imminent domain laws, was they passed before or after the new Cowboys stadium, cause some folks got a real screwin on that little imminent domain project.
He has tried to ride the Tea Partiers, but is a RINO for sure, which is a nice acronym for socialist. Texas needs a bunch of changes in Austin, and D.C.
