Brand new contender and not a g-2
« on: November 19, 2003, 02:40:53 PM »
I have found a dealer with 3 brand new contender frames and there not the g-2 s , one is stainless and the other 2 are blue . What would be a fair price for these (frames only)? They are old stock hunter packages that he is breaking up .
I know its a matter of how bad you want it vs how bad its going to hurt your wallet. Right now I have a fat wallet so I think I may spring for the stainless.
This dealer has converted alot stock to his personal guns and then selling them as private party transfer , This is the only way he can sell guns that the manufactures will not submit to the ridicules drop test here in Ca.
The contender and alot of other guns cannot not be imported , The only way to buy them is private party transfer and as a result guns like the contender here fetch a premium.

Any handgun not on the california DOJ approved list cannot be imported into the state .
I know it sucks but there are many things about CA. I do enjoy so I am not going to run from the fight with the liberals , Once they have beaten Ca they will be on your doorstep.

Well, I see them going for $175-225 in the rest of the country.  Given that there is a reduced supply in Kalifornia, you might start with an offer of about $225 and see where that takes you.  You'll probably end up a bit higher, but he'll have to work to get you there!
