As far as I know they are the only 2 sources for the lams. Choate Machine has the synthetics.Kurt

gunstocksinc. has laminated stocks & fore-arms listed for the huntsman. is a sidekick fore-arm different or something? or are they unavailable? just curious, bubba.

javaman,

The Sidekick forearm is much longer than the Huntsman. The Sidekick receiver is shorterby about 1", which makes it longer on that end, and much longer on the front end. Unfortunately, I don't know of anyone that makes an aftermarket wood Sidekick forend, laminated or otherwise.

Huntsman on top, Sidekick on bottom. Both of these have 24" barrels. The forend stud is in the exact same spot on the barrels, the Sidekick forend is 1" longer from the hinge pin to forend stud. The Sidekick forend also has more material removed by the hinge for the barrel swell on the receiver end.

Hello Busta,
Do you think if i ordered a stock from stocks unlimited without the hole drilled in the forearm i could fit it to the gun?  Iam sure the back would fit fine

javaman,

You would also have to remove some wood back at the chamber swell, as the Sidekick hinge pin is approximately 1" further back. Look real close at my pics above, you will see what I mean. Notice under the scope rail, and where the back of the forend sits.. The barrel swell is the same on both, the Sidekick receiver is about 1" shorter.

You might ask them if you can send your forend in so they can make one the same dimensions??? Tell them there are others that would like them as well.

A Huntsman forend is going to look extra short on the Sidekick.

horn-tail,

That is a Survivor stock. Any of the H&R/NEF butstocks will fit the sidekick FYI.

I have a imitation synthetic thumbhole stock on my other Sidekick.
