Hey the shelf was full of pistol ammo at Walmart. I guess the crisis is just about over. Didn't have any 380, but plenty of 40, 9mm, 44mag... Oh yeah and they had bricks of 22lr!

Noreaster,
I hate to break it to you, but there never was any "crisis". Just a bunch of people "panic buying"...which ain't all bad. The funds went to firearms and ammo manufacturers, gun shops, etc., which is an American heritage and way of life. Even the good ole BATF got put to work for several months with their share of paper work. ;D

I know I contributed as much as I could afford and will continue to do so until I die. 8)

The Robertson/Pittsman tax! Yup a good deal for the sport, but it was hard to find ammo for awhile.

to buy ammo at the local walmart you have to find someone to page the person that works in that dept. they are never behind the counter.

I does get annoying when you buy a box of .243 winchesters, and they ask if they are for a handgun. ::)

I got tired of shopping there.  The ammo selection is so generic, you have to get someone to unlock the cabinet, even the air gun pellets have a security lock to keep them on the hanger.  Never forgave them for succumbing to the liberals and stopped carrying firearms at what seems like all their stores.

They are notorious for mistreatment of their employees.  My last experience there was to buy a TV, bicycle, and ammo.  Could not get any help at all, walked out and wrote a complaint to the CEO.  It is only a matter of time before they stop carrying ammunition as it is the grocery, electronics, and soft lines that they want to concentrate on, and more profitable too.  If Sam Walton was still around it would be different.

Sears used to sell guns and ammo as well. :-\

Walmart and Sears have one thing in common with me, I only go in there to use the toilet. :D

What is American made ammo any more ? I prefer to support my local small gun shop owner.
