T/C is a great company!
« on: May 02, 2010, 01:28:15 PM »
I bought a 28 ga. shotgun barrel at a gun show a couple weeks ago from a reputable dealer for my 9 year old's first shotgun.  I did not realize until I got home that there were no choke tubes included in the new barrel.  I contacted T/C and after getting to the correct department, they said they'd look into how to find some since they no longer make the 28 gauge.  I received a call later and they said they would provide three tubes at no charge.  I was more than willing to pay, but they said they would take care of it.  All this from a company in MA!!!!!!   :o ;D

I'm glad I chose a company like this to provide my sons' their first firearms!

My brother and I got an Omega for my nephew that was short the tools. We contacted T/C and they sent what I guess you could call a starter pack. It had the breech plug wrench, extended super jag and right down to a few of their bullets to try out. My brother offered to pay but they said they would take care of it. Great company as this is the second time they have sent me parts to complete a used muzzleloader.
Thanks,

I've always been impressed with their service.  I always call and explain what I need, they've always sent me the parts free of charge.  I even bought an old used 30-30 barrel that some ding-dong had ground off the locking bolts (who knows why, but they had been ground down to nearly nothing!).  I called TC and told them about it, and that I wished to purchase a new set of bolts.  They sent them to me - no charge!  My old man sent an early frame to them with something broken, I don't remember what.  Came back 2 weeks later completely reworked, lubed and in better than original condition - no charge!

I always call and ask very nicely, or explain my problem courteously, they've always been right on top of things for me.  I know that sometimes things can break or malfunction, and that there's no need to get in a twist about it.  So far my Contenders have been much more reliable than my cars, and the Contenders havn't cost me anything to repair!

I bought a used T/C Silver Lynx .22LR auto with a ClearRidge Ultra RM rimfire scope for less the new price of the scope. The gun had a busted chamber. T/C gave me a choice, wait for a new run of R55 All Weather ($600 gun) or get something else. I got a new G2 stainless mailed to me. Still have the scope. Last weekend, I picked up a NIB 28" fluted .22LR Encore barrel at my local fun store for $145 OTD. Sent in for the $50 rebate. Gonna put the scope on that barrel. WalMart has T/C rings/mounts for $11. T/C are turning out to be the cheapest guns I own.

Have not had to use customer service yet but have heard nothing but good things so far.

I have found T/C's customer service 2nd to none everytime I needed it BUT am getting worried lately(since S&W bought them)from negative comments from people dealing with T/C lately!! Recently I also heard T/C is closing Fox Ridge and the custom shop---This is very disturbing. I can see them closing the retail shop(Fox Ridge) BUT the custom shop is another story.
I just hope S&W does not suck all the blood out of this company to correct shortcomings of the parent company---It will be a sad day in my house!!

they would not send me new ones to install myself, but did offer to replace any faulty parts, should i want to send them the barrel .
they do have a good customer service, but i chose to get rid of the contender i had instead
i also have remingtons and rugers and thier customer service has been just as good , so far

I had the same problem with the choke tubes. Purchased a new barrel still in the plastic and there was no tubes other than the one in the barrel. They sent me the replacement tubes no charge. Not sure if it was missing from the factory or someone had popped the package to look at it and they fell out.
