Non-d&t rifle sights?
« on: May 03, 2010, 02:28:20 PM »
Is there any way I can put rifle-style sights on my H&R Survivor 12 gauge without drilling and tapping the barrel?

You can use loctite black max or other epoxy

j-b weld. it's slow drying and kinda messy but it works good for me. another good one i use is advance auto's version of j-b quick 5 minute epoxy. gives a little more work time, is stronger and more forgiving than j-b quick. of course i usually scuff up where the sight is going with sandpaper. good luck and happy shootin', bubba.

Hrm. Well I guess I will see . .. I could put firesights on my Winchester 1300 a lot easier and have 5 shells to boot ... too bad it's not as easy to handle in the woods.  :-\

What sights did you use?  I was thinking about adding sights to my 088 but didn't know which ones to get.

You will need a williams shorty front ramp.  I used a william's peep sight for the rear.
