Let the Boycott Begin
« on: May 05, 2010, 02:46:30 AM »
In response to California's boycott of Arizona for trying to stem the killings, murders, rapings, and kidnappings that our federal government WON'T DO A DAMN THING ABOUT, a boycott of all California wines and produce is a clear message to send back. Two or more can play this game and we say, 'Game On!'

There are many fine wines from Australia, Oregon, Missouri, France, Italy, South Africa, and even Texas.

Oranges can be found from Canada, Mexico. Grapes from Chile, France or locally. The point is, STOP BUYING CALIFORNIA PRODUCTS!!

Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Blogs,... post the BOYCOTT CALIFORNIA WINES AND PRODUCE out there but make sure everyone knows this is IN RESPONSE to CA's boycott of Arizona.

OK, let's post it and host it!

Pass this on and let the boycott begin!

Sounds like a plan to me. Kalifornia doesn't have anything I want that I cannot get from someplace else.

I'm all for it. Add to that, no guns sold to Kalifornians. If they want guns, they'll have to move some where else. Separate the wheat from the chaff...

Let's be fair.  Every state has its dingalings who make wild, stupid reactions to nearly anything.  I know some very good people who live in California who are at least as solid as anyone anywhere.  As a matter of fact, even the Bay Area and Hollyweird have more good folks than bad.  It's just the nutty, loud minority that taints peoples perception of the Golden State.

I'd hate for my state to be judged for some of the screwballs that run Seattle, or the misfits that presently occupy the state capital in Olympia and I'll bet every other state has its share of the same types.  We are the United States of America--with all our warts and faults.  I will concede nothing to those who choose not to defend our borders and the ideals that have made this the greatest country the world has ever known.

Boycotting California in any way would be a concession to the loons and punish a lot of hard working Americans who are just trying to make a living.  Of course there are a lot of illegals there too.

Man, I'm in a different mood this morning; it must be the weather.

I'm in except for Mexico. I ain't knowingly eatin nuthin from Mexico. They fertilize with human feces, and DDT has been banded down there, and they spray their produce and fruit with it to kill bugs and such off. Otherwise, I'm in, and it's a great idea.

magooch I was apparently typing while you were. I agree with you to a certain extent, but California has let their state government run over them for decades, even throwing out decisions made by the voters. When are they going to get enough and clean up their own mess? It's time for a house cleaning in a lot of places. I am sick of Rick Perry and his buddies in Austin, but he looks like a Sunday School Teacher in comparison to the terminator.

How does a group of hard working people in Kalifornia allow their state to become the biggest Nanny bankrupt state in the Nation? By ignoring its problems, and its ever creeping socialism into every sector of life. So common sense would have it, that the ones who are fed up and disgusted with Kalifornia would be leaving it, by any means of transportation available. The rest, by their residency and silence, condone it.
Funny how its never anybody's fault. Think I'm gonna get a Tshirt with that on it....

Good post, and all true including the comment on Hepatitis. Mexico is a sewer. They actually have more natural resources than the U.S. but will not stand up and overthrow a corrupt government, as they themselves are corrupt in much of their personal thinking. They are pulling US down to their level because their culture is to take the easiest way out.
When Stephen F. Austin made his deal to colonize Texas, he accomplished in 3 years what the lazy Mexican could not in 400 years.
California has SURRENDERED as a collective population. They ALLOW state courts to over throw measures VOTED ON, AND IN, and do nothing. They elect an ACTOR FROM A FOREIGN COUNTRY, to run their already failed governmental business, and the situation continues to worsen, and they continue to weaken. What is worse, is THE UNITED STATES IS COLLECTIVELY BECOMING CALIFORNIA.

The situation is sad here in California.  We always get carpetbaggers running for office.  This time it is a TEXAN and a NEW YORKER.  Both have made anti gun comments in the pass.  We have already had a NY governor called DAVIS, and a NY senator called BOXER.  A lot of NY money and money from other states are spent to influence the California ballot box.

Many of us advocate spitting the state up.  Southern Cal and SF will out vote us because they want to our water.

Oh, Nancy is another East Coast carpetbagger.

That's just it.  The hard workers don't have time to keep looking over their shoulder to see if their elected officials are doing their job correctly.  But when behind closed doors evil minds conjure up corruption.  It all boils down to "Repentance".

Steve Poizner

“Born in Houston, Texas, Poizner attended the University of Texas when he became valedictorian while earning his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1978. He was a member of the Tejas Club and President of the Alpha Rho chapter of Alpha Phi Omega.[1]
In 1978, Poizner moved to California to attend Stanford Business School. In 1980, he earned his master’s degree with honors in Business Administration (MBA) and was named an Arjay Miller Scholar.[1”

He was a supporter of Al Gore.

The New Yorker is Meg Whitman.
Whitman was born on Long Island, New York, the daughter of Hendricks Hallett Whitman and Margaret (Goodhue) Whitman.[4][5] She attended a public high school, Cold Spring Harbor High School in Cold Spring Harbor, New York, graduating in 1974. She had wanted to be a doctor, so she studied physics and mathematics at Princeton University. However, after spending a summer selling advertisements for a magazine, she switched to studying economics[6], earning a BA with honors in 1978. Whitman then obtained an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1979

She is a supporter of fellow New Yorker B. Boxer.

The Mexican numbers in the state legislature out number others.  In fact the State government is heavily influenced by the Mexican Government.

The good news is the Mexicans and S. Americans are by passing California heading for other states and Canada.  California is becoming the dictatorship they are trying to escape.  A trip to NV  highlights the invasion.  Many of them are showing up in protest on the evening news around the country.

Small mountain communities are impacted.  A good example: http://www.theunion.com/article/20100504/BREAKINGNEWS/100509933/1066&parentprofile=1053

In Siskiyou County the highway patrol stopped a van making a run from Portland, OR to the border.  It was loaded with stolen power tools; the crew was from El Salvador.

A 400,000 plant marijuana garden was discovered the California-Oregon border.  It was Mexican operation, growers with Mexican Army ID, and running a counter surveillance operation.  The deer herd became grower tacos.

The downside is California has illegal’s from all over the world.  Some rather nasty people from the old Soviet Union, who are protect by those protecting the people south of our border.

A car stolen in Northern California is across the Mexican border within 24-hours.

I fully appreciate the idea of a boycott of Cal.  This may be twisted thinking on my part but if a boycott was to put the bite on Cal., won't that just make the eventual bailout by the rest of America bigger? They are already looking for a bailout. (I like the idea of forced secession. ;D) Instead of a bailout, let them crater themselves. Instead of too big to fail, too big to bailout!

As far as people moving out of Cal., most of them are the same cancer that made Cal. what it is. Nevada and Montana used to be red states and because of the huge influx of Cal. refuges they are now blue states and suffering from the same progressive cancer.

There are alot of really great people in Cal.. We just don't here much from them because they are a minority and mostly live in the north. They are sadly out numbered, as are the good folks in Montana. Nevada is fighting back as can be seen in Harry Reed's senate race, but the more Cal. sinks the more rats jump ship into Nev. How long can they hold out?..........If they won't finish the US/Mex. border fence, then maybe we could put up a fence on the Cal. border!!!   ;)

Should have sprayed their get away vehicle with bullets, like the cops shooting the cop-killer in Volusia County, FL  http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1711643/posts .  Now we pay for them to rot in our jails with 3 squares a day, hot showers, et al.

I miss the days when the cops SHOT fleeing suspects!

San Francisco city council is stumped as to what to do.
They want to sever all ties to companies in AZ but one of the stimulus projects that hires people and sends out the money is in AZ and the City does not have the $ to cover what it would be loosing in shutting off the ties and about 20,000 employees are under this program in SF alone.  For this I hope they do sever all ties and have to explain that the same people they support are the ones getting pink slips because they are trying to make a political statement that the federal law is bad.
We are looking to hire someone on the program and they will pay up to 100,000 a person for up to 10 people a year per company.
On the news last night they complained that ALL CA companies that bid for the managment of the program were too high.  Read into that, the taxes and cost of living here are too high to support low bid work.
And I am torn.  When CA raised the sales tax again and did not curtail any spending I have already been on an anti CA rant and have been buying what I can from other states and having items shipped here by mail order.  Some if it only hurts the honest hard working people.  It does not hurt the Moron Politicians that are raising taxes to make up for their out of control spending.

I wish the problem could be treated with an immunization.

It would have been good open country to sling lead, but those South American boys must not have passed drivers education.  They had some sort of vehicle problem and a smart highway patrolman recognized that they were in a vehicle full of stolen goods.  They had stolen the weedeaters and other gas powered equipment taken during the night and drove a little over 400 miles before they were caught in the early morning hours.  The highway patrolman fed the information to his dispatcher from tags on the equipment.  Phone calls were made to Portland and the business owner had to open up the store to confirm they had been victimized.

A lot of illegal activity moves up and down I-5 from Mexico on into Canada.  The Southern California Mexican politicians cry profiling and they are joined by Bay Area liberals.  Remember the Southern California politicians do not want to address crime related to illegal’s, first off they do not want to call them illegal’s.  Oakland and S.F. are sanctuary cities.  They aid criminals in the state.

Many states in this country have not been self supporting and two states have contributed far more to Washington then they get back.  California has contributed more for years.  If California folds most likely many free cheese states will fold.

Virginia receives a $1.51 for every dollar it sends to Washington.  If California falls into the Ocean Texas or maybe New Jersey will have to make up the difference.

A Native American friend has a little different take, they are the only true people and the rest need to get back on the boat.

"How does a group of hard working Kalifornians---"? Same way  a group of hard working New Mexicans or Texans, etc. do. There AIN"T ENOUGH of us to out vote the ones that want something for nothing.

Dee, I don't think much of Perry but he can't hold a candle to that fat rascal we have in New Mexico. At least we'll be rid of him for awhile after this year since our governor is limited to two consecutive terms. He can run again in four years though.  >:(

I figure no one is going "home" as most consider here home now. They may put some other name in front of American but as cheap as travel is if they didn't want to be here they would be gone ! Most do those things only to position themselves for pity and free handouts . The Govt. hasn't helped by playing to and educating generations how to get the most out of it . CA. is the best at this and it shows . It is also failing as no socity can sustain it for long . Make no mistake it is in every state and it will bring our great country to a halt if not stopped soon.
So boycott all who support this PC existance not just CA.
And starting with TV and movies since they use the profits to extend their liberal agenda would be a great place to begin . The off shore products , hey what would Wal-mart do if we only bought U.S. goods ? loose 85% of sales maybe ?
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

Hollywood has never made a dime off of me in a theater. I do own a few old movies on dvd and vhs. TV isn't good for anything but news and weather and only one channel each for that. Some people have a different idea of entertainment than I do. I don't need Hollywierd to be entertained. Progressive themed gross sex and violence with purple people is not my idea of entertainment, especially at theater prices.

I've been in a theatre maybe 5 times in the last 35 years. Guess they haven't made much off me. My wife has an internet subscription for movies, so though not free, they are dirt cheap.. We don't travel much anymore, so gas is no longer a big part of the budget, nor is vehicle maintenance. Rent and groceries are the biggies in our world. We have vehicle insurance, but no other insurance. Thrift store shopping comprises most of the non-grocery items, other than Gunbroker.com and most of my guns are out of NY or Ct or Mass or NH. We usually buy Florida oranges, don't drink wine, so not sure just how we are aiding any boycott, but it's probably there in direct proportion to our place in the recession.

Yep. I only watch Fox news. Nothing else interests me. Prolly the next to go is Direct TV. Haven't been to a theatre since "The Horse Whisperer". Guess that's been awhile. I grow my own vegies and just planted 2 plum trees. So add that to the apples and raspberries and apricots I get from my own growing. OK, sometimes need a little prune juice now and then, but once the plum trees start producing....I don't buy wine, and a little beer now and then, I can definitely live without Kalifornia and Mexico.

I believe San Pedro is one of the nation's biggest ports. I think we'd all feel it if it was shut down.

Still, I'm mystified by the rukus from my vantage point here in Alaska. NPR had a sob story about some contractor illegal that has been in AZ for 12 yrs. pays taxes etc etc.  Well why didn't he become a citizen since he's enjoying most of the benefits? I don't blame AZ for trying SOMETHING.

And as far as profiling. Seems to me that's the best way to find the bad guys. Call it what you want, I bet that's what the cops have to do to get the perps in many many cases - and should with these mid east terrorists too.

I don't hate Mexicans and have vacationed there many times. Like it better than Hawaii and feel safer there too - tho I hang in the safe resort towns. Have worked around Mexicans up here - a lot of them work a lot harder and steadier than spoiled American college kids. But they should do it legal - I've seen some good size roundups of illegals in some of our fish processing plants.

I do wish we could weed out the bad ones, gangs, druggies and thieves - donate them to Iraq or Afganistan maybe.
