17HMR I like it.
« on: May 05, 2010, 06:05:25 AM »
I got to shoot my 17hmr [s14] Monday. What fun. I thought this would be the pipsqueek of all time, however I found it very impressive, flat shootin with a degree of hit power. I see why these are popular in lite rifles. EZ to reload, you just buy the bullets and the rest of the cartridge is included. How does this compare to the lite bullet 22mags? How well does the 17mach2 shoot? On paper it looks a bit weak. I have decided not to reload for any more calibers than I already have, so this works.

They are fine little rounds for what they were intended for.
I've got both the HMR and Mach2 in rifles and a revolver in the HMR.
Fairly impressive little plinker.

That little bullet is really pointy. If it works I may take up fishing.
