U.S. Bail out of Greece.
« on: May 06, 2010, 05:42:19 PM »
You may want to ask your reps why we are contributing `17% of the money for this operation of course we aren't doing it directly, we are giving the IMF funds to give to Greece. This cat was let out of the bag by cnbc quiet by accident and only mentioned once, I was checking metal prices when they let it slip this morning. We are now borrowing money to give away.

We've been doing that for many years.

It's a shame really.  The EU could easily have aided Greece without help from IMF, that is to say, if every penny that is put into EU would support anything else than the rising burocracy in the union.  The current Icelandic government seems fixed upon getting th country into EU, despite the fact that we are just recently of the list of ten nations going bankrupt.....

The EU is a monetary maelstrom, you can quote me on that.

Well in a few months everyone can go and vote for the Republicans. They'll set everything back up right. They always do. ;)

I'll bet our debt is a heck of a lot more than Greece's; maybe we are eligible for an IMF loan.  We could borrow money to loan to ourselves.  And then when we can't pay it back, we could borrow more money to loan to ourselves to loan to ourselves, to loan to....
