Ok boys Matt and my children has surpassed all expectations in their gift to me.  We got up and went to eat with my family for lunch.  When we got home I parked my butt on the couch and didn't move for anything.  He and the boys waited on me hand and foot while they were secretly trying to keep me out of the office.  He printed a picture of each boy placed them in a heart for the front page of a "My Mommy" book.  Each page had a half sentence at the top such as I love my mommy because_____  or Me and my mommy like to________.  The boys with spelling help from Dad filled in each sentence with the sweetest answers any mother could ask for then drew a picture on every page.  My gift cost nothing more than the paper he printed them on, but due to the time and effort I will cherish them forever.  THen to top off a perfect day he cooked me steak, shrimp, and broccoli and cheese for dinner!  Oh and I didnt' have to do the dishes...the little ones did!!

I bought my wife a swimming pool to help keep the kids busy during summer break. She wanted one and money does not grow on trees so that was her gift. BUT I got up at 6 a.m. and fired up the ol' smoker. After church her mother, sister and grandmother, along with other family, came over to enjoy a smoked ham, pork loin and short ribs. I think what she liked the most is that I spent a lot of time mowing, weed eating and pruning flower beds so every thing looked good for her company. My wife is happy as long as I make an effort. My mother has been gone for a couple years so it is a good day for me to just stay busy on something.
Thanks,

I'm late on this one but during the week last week one of my daughters asked me what I was doing for Mothers Day. I calmly stated that my mother passed away in September and that my mothers day festivities did also!

Now I did get a card for my son to give to his "MOM" his real mother passed away a while back. He is Handicapped so i go out of my way to assist him with such things.

Ron sounds like you have a bigger problem than Mothers Day Pardner, better get to the bottom of that soon!

Happy Day all you muthers!

Glad for you that things are working out Ron. Some times there ain't no figgerin' it out. Like the time my wife was mad at me for close to 2 days because she DREAMED I'd done bad. Man was that a weird time. Never happened again thank goodness. And no I never asked what she dreamt.

I did that at least once, my wife never mentioned it. I remembered several days later. My excuse. was  Anniversery on the 22nd of Dec.Daughters B-Day on the 24th of Dec and Christmas eve, 26th Wife's B-Day. A feller can only remember so much ::)

Same thing happened to me once.  Wife woke up in a hissy mood one morning and wouldn't talk to me.  About a day or so later she finely told me what she was all bent out of shape about something I had done in a dream she had.   :o  ??? ::)  I don't recall whether she told me what it was I had done in her dream or not.  I was probably too stunned by the fact that I was in the dog house for something she dreamt about to even comprehend anything else she told me by that point.   :-\
