Some people around here don't like blind links.  Would you please modify your post to include some basic description?

Some years ago I watched this movie just for the scenery. It was an attempt by the animal lovers to spin it to the bear having feelings just like innocent human babes. Thus the frantic little human child like nosies comin from the cub during the chase.
For the life of me though, I haven't gotten the point in this thread.

Yep! thats what I thought when I saw the whole movie several years ago! It made the Bear hunters out to be "nature rapers" the natural scenery was good, and until you got the anti hunting theme understood it was a good flick.

Bad hunters hurt the little bear and the big bear hunted them down and made them pay!

Me too myronman. What a faked up mess that was.
That looked more like a papa bear than a mama and he'd have eaten that cub faster than the cat. They do so regularly out here. Not just cubs either. One of my first years here in Bristol Bay, the salmon run was late at Brooks falls in Katmai. One big hungry bear came out in front of the observation platform, looked around for fish then sank his teeth into the backbone of a smaller bear and proceeded to eat it on the spot while it was dying. Really horrified many of the onlookers and caused the Park Service to close the area for a while.

If that was really a mama bear it wouldn't have stood there wagging its head. I've seen mama bears with cubs charge much larger male bears and really work them over. A friend tho found where mama lost the deal and both mama and cubs were lunch.

that would have been something to see!   i am always amazed that more people dont get eaten.   i mean, if these things will eat their own, which are much more of a challenge to kill than people on an observation platform, why wouldnt they?   i am an adventous guy and have lots of experience with blackbear, but i will be honest when i say that alaskan grizzly scare me.
