The Contest consists in naming and locating 9 cannons by looking at photos of them were they are today (Most) or where they were in a historical situation (A few).  Our Email requests have reached the point where it's time for another Contest. Usually we spend about 4 or 5 hours preparing these photos and questions, so about every 5 or 6 months is about right I guess.  This notice of a start time of 12 Noon, (eastern time zone) on this Saturday will satisfy our only critic who twice has told us he needs to know the exact "START TIME".  Now you know, so stop bugging us.  ;D ;D

Seriously, though, we hope that some of the newer members will give it a try.  With this many people interested in cannons and mortars, you only need two or three good answers to be a winner!!  All participants will be vying for the Title of,  Cannon Hunter Extraordinaire.  Hope to hear from you tomorrow.  Sorry, no free cannons will be awarded, but with your Title and $1.29 you could get a large coffee at the convenience store.  All we can promise is some interesting photos from our travels and a few from our history as well.

We hope you will find some time to join us for some fun,

Mike and Tracy
Smokin' my pipe on the mountings, sniffin' the mornin'-cool,
I walks in my old brown gaiters along o' my old brown mule,
With seventy gunners be'ind me, an' never a beggar forgets
It's only the pick of the Army that handles the dear little pets - 'Tss! 'Tss!

Mr president I do not cling to either my gun or my Bible.... my gun is holstered on my side so I may carry my Bible and quote from it!
