Pardner .410 question
« on: May 15, 2010, 09:19:04 AM »
Hi All,

Great forum!

I have a Pardner .410 with a serial number CAC 055375.  I'd like to order a 28 gauge barrel and a 20 gauge Tracker II slug barrel.  However, H&R's website is vague as to whether I can do this:

At the top of the barrel accessory program page, it says "Additional barrels may be added to firearms of our manufacture since 1987 only, with a serial number that begins with N or H. We do not install additional barrels on any other manufacturer’s firearms. "

Then under the additional shotgun barrels section, it says, "All model SB2 Handi-Rifles™ and model SB1 Pardner® shotguns can be fitted with any shotgun barrel except the 10 gauge."

I checked the FAQ's on GBO and it says, "Y=2008 serial number prefixes changed in May 2008, CBA for SB2 and CAC for SB1."  So I take I have shotgun that was manufactured during or after May 2008.

The question:  can I purchase additional shotgun barrels from H&R for this firearm or not?

Thanks.

Welcome! Yes....if they have em in stock, best to call and ask, toll free (866)776-9292.   :-\

H&R is real bad about updating their website, our FAQs and Help has better information.  ;)

Thanks much for the quick response.  I'll give them a call Monday.

So I called H&R on Monday.  Both the 28 gauge smoothbore and 20 gauge tracker II barrels are out of stock.  I'll call again in a month.

Cheers,
Jim

Yes, as long as your frame was made after 1987 H&R will fit your frame with any shotgun barrel they have listed on their website except for the 10 gauge.
