IMHO this is the best political ad I have ever seen.  Heck I even sent him some money.

I pumped. I'm in Alabama and I am going to vote for him right now, several times, so are my ancestors.

Actually most political ads running in Alabama right now feature some kind of weapon.
The favorite for governor had one with him and his kids toting shotguns.

still filling out ballots for all my dead relatives.

If this guy wins, his name will appear on a sticker on every single gas pump in the state of Alabama.
And there is nothing the bad guys can do about it.

I'm with ya Pow Pow, he has my vote. Sparks the current Dem commissioner of ag is in the next county over from me. He does a lot for Dekalb, but not a whole lot for the rest of the State.

Well. looks like Dale "Cowboy" Peterson will not have his name on the gas pumps for the next four years.
and Ron Sparks has a chance of having his face welcome folks across the state line for the next four years.

Montgomery (AP) - The race for the Republican nomination for Alabama Agriculture (web | news) Commissioner appears headed toward a runoff.

With 60 percent of the vote counted, former Alabama Forestry Association executive vice president John McMillan had 37 percent of the vote and farmer Dorman Grace of Jasper 34 percent. McMillan was short of the 50 percent of the vote needed to avoid a runoff. ABC 33/40 Talkback:

Hoover businessman Dale Peterson was running in third place Tuesday night. McMillan and Grace were the much better financed candidates, but Peterson received national attention and ridicule from an in-your-face ad on YouTube where he rode a horse, carried a gun and promised to run "thugs and criminals" out of state government.
