my wife fell in love with a sigma in 40. cal
« on: May 23, 2010, 02:39:20 PM »
she did have some problems with this pistol, first she could not pull the trigger! hell i had a little trouble !! with a 10.5 lb trigger a 100 lb wife almost lost battle, well i fixed the heavy trigger now she can shoot and hit when she olny shoots once, this pistol is light bounces like a jackrabbit dogein bullits lol
i whould like to put a recoil reducer in this pistol and there is no aftermarket for this recoil reducer but there is one for a glock dose any body know will a recoil rod  out of a mod 19 work in a s&w sigma in 40.cal

KID
Your description of why she fell in love with it---well, er, is that simular to why she fell in love with you--hard to pull and defiant---well, you know-- ;) :D :P :-*
I digress; I have never cared for the recoil of a .40--preferring the .357Sig's recoil, as a comparision.
Have you tried a .38 super?
It has much the same performance as the two mentioned by me, above--I am more pleased with the performance of the .357 than the S&W.40, to begin with.
Blessings

well william some times i am just like that ( hard to deal with) lol but really,  there are no aftermarket parts for this pistol short of buyin a 9 mm and i am not about go in to that subject, she likes the way it fits her hand and how lite it is (she is all of 100lb sokin wet) and muzzle flip is overwelling her a little
if i could i'd switch to some outher caliber outher than 9mm but  its just not that easy not like go to brownells. com and get parts for a 1911, i just wanted to explore the posabillty of glock aftermarket parts fiting this s&w so she could carry a pistol that she likes

I admit to not being a fan of the sigma system or the Glock system. Just not my cup of tea.
I have a friend, who is in the sandbox now, who carries nothing but a Glock. Well, as a sidearm.
I would take the Glock system--I can't believe I am touting glocks--over the Sigma system, hands down.
Parts and adaptability of the weapon is an important thing too me---things you can't do to a Glock.
I have never held a Glock--or simular weapons--that were comfortable too me. I can shoot them, but, I have too work at postioning my hand on them-and trying too keep proper placement of the hand for follow-ups in near impossible for me.
I won't even get into what a god awful trigger system I think it is.
Saying all that--I am glad you and she like it---party down.
Blessings
