Quote
Under the compromise, finalized in a series of meetings Monday at the White House and on Capitol Hill, lawmakers will vote in the next several days on a repeal of the Clinton-era policy. If it passes, that action would not go into effect until the Pentagon completes a study about its impact on the troops.

So they make the political point of "repeal" but it has no actualy effect until the impact study is complete.

Was it timed for the election season? Is 3% of society such a monolithic voting block that the Dems are gambling this will ensure a win when conservatives are taking all the seats in the special elections?

I'm not gonna worry too much about the queers in the military. The straight boy will be able to take care of themselves, and decide if they want to put up with the queers or get out of the military. I personally would get out. The generals have turned into political hey boys, and the real fighters are gettin the dirty work. AS USUAL.

As far as any REAL Conservatives gettin in office I've on noticed one and that was in Kentucky. I haven't even heard of any REAL Conservatives runnin. Have You?

When it's repealed we've already been briefed that there will be corollary accomodation issues; billeting, benefits, assignments, etc. So it'll force the good ol' boy from the hills to live alongside rue Paul.

But Dee, you're right. Only one real conservative voted in recently. I was glad Djou won our state but he's only fiscally conservative so there was no one on the ballot to vote for.

With most of them no doubt believing the bogus 10% we hear over and over they probably figure it's worth a shot. Gotta figure in the sympathizers too.
