Bought a new keltec sub 2k in .40
« on: May 25, 2010, 05:44:17 PM »
Like the title says, I bought a sub 2k in .40 that takes the glock magazines. I have a glock 23 and I wanted to be able to interchange magazines. In any case, has anyone found high capacity magazines for the .40? I know that Glock makes the 33 rounders for 9mm, but I haven't been able to find anything similar in .40.

Do not know where to get mags, but what do you think of the rifle?

Have the same gun and I can tell you the non Glock,30 round, kock-off mags from Korea are too tight in the Kel-Tec so don't waist your money . Other than that mine is fun to shoot.

I just got one in .40 and the book with it says it uses Glock 22 mags.  It came with a standard 10-round and I bought a couple of after-market hi-caps which fit but I haven't tried them for function.

Do the G-23 mags work in the S2K ? I EDC a G-23 and have been thinking of getting one if I can find one. If the g-23 mags are to short, can the grip be shortened without any harm to function? Anybody know?

Yes, you can shorten the grip to accept the mags.   The catch for the magazine is near the top next to the trigger gaurd and it will not effect the function of the magazine at all.

Although it will work, I do not recommend that you modify your gun, but it's your gun, and you can do as you please!
My culled down Handi's are the 45-70, and then I have a few others to keep it company...357 Mag/Max. .45 LC/.454 Casull Carbine, .243 Ultra, and 20 gauge Tracker II.

Thanks for the reply. Actually I was thinking if I can locate one, I would send it to kel-tec and see if they would shorten it. Come to think of it. I better send them an e-mail this weekend about it.
