nikon prostaff scopes
« on: May 27, 2010, 03:25:51 AM »
I have a RWS model 48 and it came with a RWS 4x scope on it and i also have a couple nikon prostaff scopes kicking around a 3-9 and a 2-7 and I was wondering if anyone knew if they would hold up to the reverse recoil of a air rifle? I'd like to have a bit more magnification on the model 48. If the prostaff won't can anyone recommend any good varible power scopes that won't break the bank? Thanks for any info

Personally I would go right to the horses mouth and call Nikon on that one.  I know some companies are making scopes that will work on Springers even though not advertised as such.  Would hate to see you wreck a nice Nikon scope on someone elses say so.... ???

Just one old air gunners opinion....

+1 on asking the mfg.
Ive heard good things about the BSA 2-7X, and will probably be getting one soon.
