Some one asked me our traditional cost factor vs theirs.

I told him it was easy.....

Cost on a Traditional bow

My Bear Kodiak 45# recurve, was free as they thought it was damaged or bent.  My group clearly shows its not and shoots as good today, as the day it was first shot back in 1967.

Here is a picture of a self longbow that I was told was junk, would never ever be anything but a wall hanger.  I paid $32.99, and refinished it to what it is now and yes it shoots.

Custom 60# longbow found with all the accessories on this forum boards classified section for $115.00 shipped, and still waiting for its arrival home.

The newist one I sent off for today, a custom Bama Bow Hunter 55# (longbow) for $170.00 shipped, because the owner is buying a Bama Bow Royal model.

His doe taken last year with this bow:

The price of a bow string under $20.00 to have as an extra.
A dozen NEW Easton's with feathers $55.00 shipped
New Shooters 3 finger glove $9.00

My satisfaction - Totally Priceless

Now totaling the traditional bows up = $317.99

He paid $1250.00 plus for his new BowTech, and he hasn't even bought his arrows yet  :o

Nice looking bows!  Traditional is far cheaper if you are a do it yourself type of guy or you shop around.  You can get some really great deals, like the ones you have found already.

Bent stick, string, several little pointy sticks vs... Cables, cams, wheels, release, rest, peep, Bow press to change string and cables  Cut a string in the woods on a trad bow you just restring with spare and continue hunting. Been there done that >:( With a compound you usually go home. K.I.S.S.
