45 ACP Powder?

Hello All,
I have a dilemma.     I've been loading 230gr and 200gr Jacketed Bullets Over W231 or HP38 and Love the Combo.    Well I'm on my last 1/2lb of W231 and cannot find anymore.   Seems everybody has the Accurate Line Of powders no.5 and no.7. 
Has anybody used these powders with any Luck?   Thanks

All the Accurate powders are good ones. For the 45 ACP I would go with the #5. It is in the burn rate line of Unique so it is very versatile.

It does But,  Meters Like Crap for me.    RCBS Uniflow Powder Measures Hate Unique.    It's a +/-  .4 to .5 grain  game for me when using Unique.
What do you use to drop your powder charges Dinny??

RCBS Chargemaster, but it's a slow process.  I have the Uniflow, but haven't used it for Unique yet. I'm still shooting older reloads from last year.

I like aa2 for 45s but my favorite is still good old bullseye.

 What do you use to meter Bullseye.  I have the same trouble with it, as I do Unique.

One of my buddies love Bullseye and Unique for his .45s and he is loading them on a Dillon 550 with the standard dillon powder system.

RCBS Uniflow Powder Measures Hate Unique.    It's a +/-  .4 to .5 grain  game for me when using Unique.

Consider whether your Uniflow contains the Large or Small powder cylinder.  They are shipped with the Large cylinder and you have to order the Small.  With the Small cylinder, Unique should measure +/- 0.05 grain.

I load Unique with an RCBS Uniflow measure and don't have any problems with it (+/- .1 grain, same as other flake or ball powders).

I've tried AA#7 in .45 ACP.  It beat the tar out of my Springfield, so I swapped the cylinder in my Ruger Blackhawk convertible and finished the box in it.

thats odd. Ive got rcbs hornady and dillion measures and never have had a problem with bullseye. Unique, herco, the dot powders and the X powders are sometimes a bit tough to meter though. If your having problems with one of those measures try taking it apart and degreasing it with electrical cleaner (except for the tube) then take your tube and wipe the inside with a fabric softener sheet to reduce the staic cling.

The Uniflow Binds up on the flake powders. Almost Like it is sheering the flakes.   It doesn't do it every drop but say every 10 drops or so.   You have to get in a rythm,  (Tap on up stoke, Hard RAP on the down stroke.)  This helps alot.  Ball powder and short Stick powder meters great!   Might have to get a small Cylinder and give it a try.

I use 6gr of Universal under 200gr lead RNFPs (Oregon Trail Laser Cast).  Very accurate and very clean burning in two pistols (both SIG P220s).

Powdered graphite cycled through the powder measure will work wonders for smoothing thing out.
