Help! What are these rifles?
« on: November 23, 2003, 02:27:24 PM »
I am going to try to post a couple of pictures with some older traditional styled blackpowder rifles.  My uncle living in California has a friend who's husband recently passed away.  Upon opening the gun safe, she called my uncle for some help.  They want to sell the two rifles but they have no markings indicating what they are.

The light stocked hawken is a small bored rifle.  My uncle has guessed it to be a .30 caliber as there were some .30 caliber balls in the safe.  The other rifle is a smooth bore rifle which suggests either being an old smoothbore rifle or a blackpowder shotgun.

I am going to try to attach these images and hope that they work.  Any advice is greatly appreciated.   Thanks!  Fire Hawk

Firehawk,
Either I went blind or the image didn't work.  Since I can still look in a mirror and see an ugly person looking back, I think it's the latter.

Well that didn't work very good at all did it?  I guess I don't have the ability to do this.  Can I email the pictures to someone else to post?

Thanks! Firehawk
