Ejector not ejecting.

I was out shooting my vp 22 today and started having troubles. The empties were not ejecting when I was shooting 22lr ammo. I have been shooting alot of shorts out of it lately so I figured maybe the chamber had a ring in it. I took it home and gave the chamber and bore a good scrubbing with hoppes and brass brush. It's good as new now. Do any of you have problems with lr's ejecting after shooting shorts??

The chamber on my Sportster barrel is pretty 'close', one of the better 'field chambers' of recent .22LRs tried. After the .22CB Short match (a few weeks ago) where about 75 rounds of that were fired through it, the followup .22LRs were hard to chamber. A common 'Q-Tip' wetted in solvent swabbed it out easily and the other end dried the chamber (I keep a few in the travel box for this).

Thanks buddy. I figured it was just a crud ring from shooting the shorts. I learned something else about it too... it shoots the same with a clean barrel as it does with a dirty barrel. Some of my other Handi's will take a few shots to dirty up the bore before they shoot good... my vp 22 and my old 44 mag both shoot the same clean or dirty.
