CZ83's in 9mm mak......
« on: May 29, 2010, 07:25:50 AM »
I was looking in my local gun shop in the used pistol case and i see the cz83's in 9mm mak going for $250.  I need to take a closer look to see if there miss'd marked CZ82's.  He had a few of them and i think too many to be used cz83's.

Crazy,

I believe the CZ82s have the lanyard loop on the bottom of the grip, while the 83s do not.

If they are in good shape, an 82 for $250 is not bad, since I just bought one from AIM for $244 delivered. But that one came with 2 mags plus a usable OWB holster.

We can't beat the deal from AIM right now there selling the CZ82 with two 12rd mags and holster with free shipping now too for just $219.  This is one of the hottest buys since the sks and saiga's hit our shores. I'm not sure how much longer the CZ82's will be offered here.  They have to runout soon i think.

Before the CZ82's were available i went for a CZ83 NIB in 9mm mak for $199 if i remember correctly.  The PO purchased it and never shot it because he didn't like the polygonal rifling.  I got a NIB pistol for a used price.  I also heard the CZ83's in 9mm mak were rare.

I think overall the CZ line of pistols(CZ85, CZ75, CZ83, CZ82) are the best so far.  I been hammering mine with never a failure.  But the cost of the used CZ's have gone up lately.

Sad the the PO didn`t even try it, the polygon rifleing is very accurate. His loss your gain
If you want it destroyed right, call in a B-52

First time i looked at mine i thought it was shot out junker ,slick, no rifling left, said oh well and put two mags thru it and checked the target big hole,  inch by inch and half, off hand at 30 ft. rapid fire. one of the better shooters i have. I think the 82's are 9 mak. and 83's are 380 or 9 luger.

Well, upon further research, I actually found a photo of a Cz83, marked as a Cz83 on the slide, that had the lanyard loop at the bottom of the grip.  So, that is obviously not as sure a way of identifying 82s from 83s as I'd thought.

The trigger guard is different between the 82's and the 83's.  The 82's have a round trigger guard while the 83's is more square.
The CZ83's come in 32acp, 380acp and in 9mm mak.  I been looking or browsing for a 32acp / CZ83 since i have the other two already.  I'm waiting for another great buy.

You won't believe the prices i have seen on the used CZ pistols and some are still brand new unshot.  I picked up my CZ85DB in 9mm luger for $299 still unshot / new in the box. The nib cz83 in 9mm mak was $199 while the cz83 in 380acp was $220.  Soon after aim surplus offered the cz82's in 9mm mak for $189.  Now for some reason the prices on the cz 83 and cz 85/cz75 have gone much higher on the used ones too. I'm seeing a $100 jump in prices.
