Back over the summer when I was building my fur tumbler many asked me to tell how it works when I get some critters to dry. It was the best time I ever spent. It works great. You can take a coon that looks like a drounded rat and 15-20 minutes later it comes out fluffy and beautiful...fur standing on end!!
The sawdust also adheres to all openings, eye mouth, vent, and any .22 holes. which makes for a clean job!
Thanks again to those that helped me...mainly you wacky...I still think your really a scientist or something with all the math formulas you know!!

I know that this will seem like a stupid question, but then again I'm full of stupid questions; are you tumbling the whole coon or skinning it first?

The reason I ask is I have this 7 foot diameter tumbler that
I can just see walkin down the road from 25 lbs coons thumpin in it :-D

Im tumblin the whole coon, but only 2 at a time.
Man, they come out nice. It also loosens up the cockelburs!! and they come right out!!

Really though, I cant say what a fine job it does. I think one of the keys is having the barrel almost half full of sawdust. Then the critter just jinda flops mid-barrel. I cant wait to use it on rats. Thats when it will really come in handy!
