I read the reporting on the autopsy, including quotes from Buyuk the chief forensic guy. According to him there were 30 gunshot wounds total on the "humanitarian activists" who by their own admission planned a hasty "resistance" when they saw the zodiacs comings. Fulkan was hit 5 times from less than 18 inches away - face, back of head, 2x in leg, 1x in back. 60yo Bilgen shot 4x temple, chest, hip and back. 2 other men were shot 4x. 5 of those killed were shot in either in the back of the head or the back. But that's just the autopsy, which by itself is insufficient to confirm intent.
Forensic analysis including close quarters battle evaluation in an after action, which I've sat through, would actually be more telling.
The distance, caliber, number of shots fired, placement on the wounded, does not smack of controlled well placed fire by an insertion team. I'm not a trigger puller anymore, but I counsel some of the best, and now having read the expanded autopsy reporting, it only corroborates the Israeli story. The IDF were not in control when they stepped on board; they were met with life-threatening resistance, and had to take control. Per the video footage released by the flotilla itself, the IDF were attacked when they boarded, so they shot their way out ... the autopsy would corroborate that scenario.
