After thinking about it for a long time I placed a $50 deposit on a 25-06.
I had one in 25-06 with the gray/black laminate stock several years back but used it in trade for a 7600 in 257 Roberts.
Hated the gray/black laminate. Don't think I will like the "cool blue" laminate. Most likley will sell the blue and buy a set of walnut this time.

I've seen the cool blue pump at Grice's. At first glance I thought it was pretty "cool", but I know it's something I wouldn't want long term. It's probably more of a woman's rifle than something I'd take to deer camp.

I here what you are saying. Most likely will sell the "cool blue" stocks and buy walnut stocks for it.
I see the rifles for sale on gunbroker.com but they have not call me yet for my rifle. I better call them this week.

Well I picked up the rifle Friday.
Glad for the 25-06 model.
But the "cool blue" is even worse than the gray/black.
Now I have to buy a scope, rings, mounts, and sling.

I will. I have been meaning to take pictures of all of my 7600's and post them.
I'm a little behind in picture posting ability but I will get the wife on it right away.
BTW it was great meeting you up the VT. I'm sure we will meet again.
I think I will keep the cool blue stock but buy a walnut one also.

I heard it said, but since I am not a deer, I can't vouch for the accuracy of the statement that deer see blues and UV, so it wouldn't be a good color to take into the woods if that is the case. -
