Load Data for 35 Rem w/Hornady FTX LeverEv Bullets?
« on: June 08, 2010, 02:15:37 PM »

Does anyone know of a good powder/charge to use with this bullet?  I can't find any good data.  The Hornady site lists top speed as 2050 fps but the factory ammo runs 2225 fps and I would like to get closer to their speed.  I know about their unobtainable magic powder blends and all but has anybody experimented with this round (200 Gr FTX, part # 35105)?

The tail of the bullet projects much further down past the cannelure than with traditional 200 gr roundnoses and this takes up powder space.

Jump over to the marlin Owners forum. There are a few there that load that bullet...http://www.marlinowners.com/forums  I personally load the 200gr Remington AND the 158gr Hornaday JHP's for my 35 Rem. Both are deadly on deer.
